JAMES J. WIMSATT, ESQUIRE

James received his Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington DC, and earned his undergraduate degree in International Relations and Spanish from Centre College of Danville, Kentucky.  James practiced law for nearly five years in Washington, focusing mostly on real estate and insurance litigation.  He took a short break from the legal world to accept a position on Barack Obama’s staff in North Carolina, running all field operations for two counties.  James joined STAMATAKIS + THALJI in 2009, focusing his practice on foreclosure defense, real estate litigation, insurance litigation and bankruptcy. 

James is admitted to practice before all state courts in Florida, Maryland and the District of Columbia.  In addition, he is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, and the United States Supreme Court.
